If you like pork pie, then you will love this pork pie! Lovingly handmade with hot water crust pastry and filled with five cuts of locally reared pork. The meat is from pork reared on the Isle of Wight. I use meat from the shoulder, belly, hock and bacon. Using selected herbs and spice which are added to the meat before filling the pie. Hot water crust pastry, is traditional for these pies, using water and lard heated, then mixed with flour and seasoning. When cooked and chilled, the delicious jelly goes in, and for many that is the favourite bit!
